One important note: I write this addendum on December 11, 2004, about one year after I posted my original essay on Christmas. I have to say that one of the authors I critiqued in my original essay, Pastor Michael Schneider, has since changed his position. His old essay "Is Christmas Christian?" was published on the Still Water Revival website at the time I wrote my essay. Pastor Schneider asked that it be removed from the site because it no longer reflected what he believed. I don't have time to go back and rewrite my essay, so recognize that any quotations that I have from this old essay are not held by the author anymore. In fact, I don't believe his name can be found anywhere in the article itself. I am leaving the essay as it is, however, because the convictions and arguments once used by him are still very prevelant in our circles.
